Rewari: A young man from Bihar living in a rented house in Suthani was twice swindled out of Rs 99,000 by cyber thugs by sending him a scan code. Following the victim’s complaint, the Kasola police launched the investigation after registering the case.
Narendra Chaudhary, a resident of Bahrgaya in Bihar, said he works at the Igloo Company. He received a call from an unknown number. Saying that he sent the money, he first sent 25 rupees and then 50 rupees via Paytm and got it back. After that, he sent him the scan code by getting involved in things. After scanning the code, 50,000 and 49,000 rupees were once withdrawn from his account. After registering a case related to his complaint, the police began collecting information about the accounts to which this amount was transferred. The police are investigating the matter.
