Panipat: Court sentences friend’s murderer to life imprisonment

Panipat: The court of Sessions Judge Sudesh Kumar Sharma found Sunny resident of Azad Nagar Samalkha guilty of murder of Murad Hall resident Sarai Mohalla, Khadi Ashram, District 6 Samalkha and native village Surjan Nagar in Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh and sentenced him to life Prison sentence. Justice Sharma’s court also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on the guilty Sunny. If the convicted person does not pay the fine, he or she must be given an additional prison sentence of one year.

The mystery of the murder was revealed through video surveillance

On October 24, 2020, Murad left the house with his partner Sunny. Murad reached home only on the morning of October 25th. While searching for his family members, Murad was found lying in Padav Mohalla Samalkha covered in blood. When police checked the CCTV of the accident site, Sunny was seen attacking Murad with a knife. Based on the complaint of late Murad’s uncle Aziz Ahmed, the police have registered a murder case against Sunny. Based on the Murad murder case recorded in the CCTV and the witness statements, the Sessions Court sentenced Sunny to life imprisonment.

10 years in prison for a man who abused a young girl

Fast Track POCSO Additional Sessions Court Judge Sukhpreet Singh convicted Sagar Tomar, a native of Pachanda village, Muzaffarnagar district, Uttar Pradesh and a resident of Mahadev Colony, Panipat, for molesting a teenage girl. The court sentenced the convict to a punitive prison sentence of ten years. A fine of Rs 50,000 was also imposed on the convict Sagar. In case of non-payment of the fine, the convict Sagar will face an additional prison sentence of one year. The victim received justice after the perpetrator was punished.
