Nuh: Police have made the first arrest in the case of embezzlement of around Rs 25 crore compensation amount for land acquisition of Gram Panchayat Rozkamev of Indri block. Police produced arrested former sarpanch Ramzan in court and remanded him in judicial custody for four days. It is expected that while in custody, police interrogation will shed light on who is involved in the embezzlement of several crores of rupees.
Let us tell you that more than 20 hectares of land was acquired by Gram Panchayat Rozkamev from HSIIDC (Haryana State Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation). The then Sarpanch and officials of several departments had in connivance with the country worth Rs 24 Crore 27 Lakh 90,000 726 transferred the entire amount to various bank accounts and accounts of various companies. While the sarpanches also withdrew large amounts of money. Following a complaint in the CM window, a case was registered against the then Sarpanch Ramzan, the then elected Ms Sarpanch Khatuni Begum and the current Sarpanch Deen Mohammad and others. They all disappeared after the case was registered on November 5, 2023. Police teams were constantly conducting raids to nab them.
Former sarpanch Ramzan was arrested for the first time in this case. On Tuesday afternoon, Sarpanch Ramzan was produced before the court and the police asked him to remand him for 10 days, but he was ordered to remand him for four days. Moreover, officials and employees of the bank, District Revenue Department and HSIIDC department who helped embezzle crores of rupees have also been named in the case. Police teams are conducting raids to nab such accused. Soon the conspirators who embezzled millions of rupees will be behind bars. Strict action could soon be taken against the gram panchayats that embezzled government funds in Nuh district as well as the officials and employees involved in the embezzlement.
