Narnaul News: Saying that Narnaul railway station has been given a higher status than normal and stopping not just small but all large trains on long routes has been mandated here as well, but the amazing thing is that station cleaning rests on the shoulders of part-time cleaners. Only three sweepers take over the cleaning work, which means that the weeds also thrive in addition to the cleanliness of the sweeping. The weeds have taken hold not only in the station park, but also in other places, which is detrimental to the beautification of the station.

It is worth noting that Narnaul railway station was built during the British era. It was called Narnaul because it was the district headquarters and a large railway station nearby, but it was built on the land of Patikara, a neighboring village. Later in 2009, during the tenure of then Minister of Railways, Lalu Prasad Yadav, work began to convert the narrow gauge lines here to broad gauge lines. As a result, the location of the station has also changed somewhat here. A new train station was built in place of the old building, starting from the old building in the direction of Patikara. Compared to the old days, this station is very spacious and equipped with facilities. Long-distance trains such as Bandra-Chandigarh Superfast and Janshatabdi also pass through this station and all these trains stop here. Either the Neemkathana train or the Rewari train stops in front of it. But the amazing thing is that Narnaul railway station does not have full cleanliness provisions. Since no permanent sweepers are available, the work is done with part-time employees. This state of affairs not only lasts a year or two, but has existed for decades. There used to be only two part-time sweepers, now there are three instead of two part-timers. These three employees are able to clean the part of the train station where the train station is being built. This cleaning is also done off-site, but weeds have grown here in the park and elsewhere. Here, too, the residential colony remains dirty due to a lack of cleanliness. As soon as you exit the train station there is a park in the front direction that is not cleaned and has weeds growing in it. Due to weeds, people coming to the station are unable to use it properly. At the station where passenger car lines are used, a large amount of weeds have grown with the station. The footpath is also surrounded by weeds. The condition of the weeds is such that they have taken root wherever the broom of the sweeper does not regularly reach.

The park is getting smaller, the corridor is getting wider

The width of the corridor is increased outside the station where there is a corridor for commuters and where cars pick up passengers. This corridor will be built between the train station and the park, reducing the size of the park and increasing the width of the corridor. The railway plans to install partition walls in the corridor so that the cars do not have to face each other when driving in and out. In addition, comfort for the passengers should also be guaranteed.

The employees work part-time

Station Master Suresh Sharma said the station is kept perfectly clean. Anyone can check anytime. Three part-time employees were hired for cleaning. Due to the rain, some weeds have grown in the area outside the station, which is also being cleaned. All basic facilities are provided at the station. The passengers themselves must also be aware of this in order to prevent the spread of dirt. Recently, during the Amrit Mahotsav, senior railway officials had come here, and then they talked about erecting partitions in the corridor and narrowing the park. Work on it has yet to begin.
