News2News.in News. Nangal Chowdhary: Ashok Yadav, a resident of Dhani Jajma (Dattaal), was martyred in an encounter with Naxalites in Guwahati. ITBP Jawans arrived at the ancestral village late Thursday evening with the remains of the martyr. Where the last rites of the martyr were performed by giving armed salute with military and state honors. Family members are proud of Ashoka’s martyrdom while silence reigns in the village.

According to information, Hawa Singh s/o Banwari Lal, residing in Dhani Jajma, has two sons. Elder son Ashok Yadav was inducted into the ITBP in 2012. The second son Delhi works as a driver. Ashok Yadav was assigned to duty at 12 noon on Wednesday evening. At about 3:30 a.m., the Naxalites, hiding in the dark, began firing. Ashok Yadav also shot, but due to the darkness, the target didn’t hit the stick. Meanwhile, Ashok Yadav was shot in the chest and was taken to the department hospital with injuries. But could not be saved because of excessive bleeding.

After completing various ITBP formalities, the body was taken to Delhi Airport by plane. From there, ITBP staff reached Dhani Jajma with the body in an official vehicle. Naib Tehsildar of Nangal Chowdhary Hariom paid administrative respects to the martyr by offering a wreath. Haryana Police and ITBP bid a final farewell to the martyr by issuing a joint armed salute.

Villagers told that behind the martyr are parents, wife, a daughter and a son. Present on the occasion were Station Manager Ramnath, Praveen Chaudhary, Vinod Bhil, Panchayat Samiti Chairman Karmpal Yadav and Attorney Anil Yadav Mandi.
