Haryana: It rained a lot of money in the market on Friday on the occasion of Dhanteras. People stayed in the markets from morning till late evening to shop on Diwali. The dealers’ faces also beamed with joy at the great deal. Traders claim that billions of rupees of business were transacted across the state during Dhanteras. Maximum brightness was observed in automobiles, precious metals markets, and consumer goods stores. There was light rain in the morning, but as the weather cleared in the afternoon, a large crowd could be seen at the market.

On the occasion of Dhanteras, hundreds of vehicles were delivered from two- and four-wheeler showrooms across the state in a single day. The gold bullion market remained light since the morning. Gold and diamonds were the most sold. Apart from this, a crowd was also seen at the utensils, clothing, makeup, shoes and electronics stores. There were queues for shopping in all the exhibition rooms. There was so much crowding in the markets that it became difficult for people to even walk. To solve the traffic jam problem, the local administration had to ban the entry of four-wheelers into the main markets. Police personnel have also been deployed to prevent large vehicles from entering the market.

On Dhanteras, people mainly bought electronic goods, utensils and vehicles. People who had booked in advance were seen accepting the car from the showroom. This time, Dhanteras was bustling with shops selling Lakshmi and Ganesh, electrical items, clothing, gold and utensils. People could be seen shopping for hours in the jewelers’ showrooms. The same was the case in the utensil shops. There wasn’t even room to enter these stores. Seeing the crowd in the markets this time, it seems that traders will have silver this time on the occasion of Diwali.
