Fatehabad News: Now there is a new twist in the case of the death of a married woman in the village of Ramsara 22 days ago under suspicious circumstances. In this case, the deceased’s brother has lodged a complaint with the police, accusing his in-laws of killing his sister. In his complaint, the deceased’s brother says that his sister-in-law first poisoned her to death and later threw her body into the canal to create the appearance of suicide. In that case, Bhattu Kalan Police on Saturday registered a murder case against seven people, including the deceased’s husband, and launched an investigation.

In a related complaint to the police, Kuldeep, a resident of Jhansal village in Hanumangarh district of Rajasthan, said his sister Maya Devi was married to Omprakash, a resident of Ramsara, in 2008. She has been molested since her marriage. In July 2022, her sister’s 8-year-old daughter had died, which her in-laws said was an accident, but her sister believed her in-laws were responsible for her daughter’s death. His sister was also not given a share of the ancestral land. Instead, she received a share of the donated land in the village of Sadalpur, with which she was not satisfied. Therefore, his sister’s in-laws began to worry him.

Kuldeep alleges that Taya’s father-in-law repeatedly threatened to hide his sister, which Maya Devi told the family about several times over the phone. On April 22, 2023, Maya Devi was informed by phone of her deteriorating health. When he reached Ramsara village with his family, he learned that his sister had died long ago. His body had turned blue and foam was coming out of his mouth. His sister’s in-laws prepared for his cremation and took the body to the crematorium. When asked about the cause of death, he stated that he committed suicide by jumping into the canal. Then he was told that he had died of a stomach ailment. He was suspicious of changing the reason over and over again. They also pressured him to do the autopsy but burned him. Kuldeep said that after some time he asked the other villagers and then learned that seven people first beat him up, then poisoned him and threw the body into the canal at night. He then reported this to the police. In this case, the police have now opened an investigation and registered a case against Balwant, Sugna, Reshma, Omprakash, Shiv Kumar, Lichma and Vikas.
