A major accident happened in Bahadurgarh early in the morning. Here on the Delhi-Rohtak National Highway, a speeding bus full of pilgrims suddenly overturned. More than 35 people were injured in the accident. The injured were taken to Bahadurgarh trauma center. Three injured people, including a one-year-old innocent girl, have been referred to Rohtak for PGI.
The accident happened near the village of Rohad. All of the injured are said to be residents of the Rawal Nagar neighborhood in Delhi. According to the information, these people left on Sunday morning to pay their respects to the Khatu Shyam Temple by boarding a bus near the Signature Bridge in the Rawal Nagar district of Delhi. After darshan the bus drove back. When the bus arrived near the village of Rohad on the Delhi-Rohtak national road, the bus overturned after hitting the bulkhead.
It is said that the passengers on the bus exceeded capacity. No sooner had the bus turned than a scream rang out. In a hurry, passers-by immediately took care of the injured and took them to Bahadurgarh Civil Hospital. A total of 35 people, including the driver, were injured, including many women and children. Three people, including a one-year-old girl, were referred to PGIs. Everyone else is being taken to the local hospital.
The main cause of the accident is said to be that the driver was intoxicated and was driving at high speed. After receiving the accident information, the police were also on site and started the investigation. Driver is missing now. The investigation into the matter is ongoing, police said.
