Local School Holidays: Schedule of local holidays for schools in Haryana released.  There will be holidays on these holidays

Local school holiday: The Haryana government has released the schedule of local school holidays. This schedule was published by the state Department of Education. This time there will be four local holidays in all schools in the state where holidays for Buddha Purnima, Hariyali Teej, Chhoti Diwali and Shaheed Udham Singh Jayanti have been announced. The Ministry of Education has officially issued orders regarding these holidays.

There will be holidays at these festivals

A local holiday will be observed on Buddha Purnima on Thursday, May 23, 2024. At the same time, there will be holidays on Hariyali Teej on Friday, September 6, Chhoti Diwali on Thursday, October 31 and Shaheed Udham Singh Jayanti on Thursday, December 26.

Winter holidays in schools

In view of the cold wave, Chandigarh’s school holidays were recently extended by a week. Due to severe cold and fog, the Chandigarh administration had extended the school holidays for students up to class 5 by a week till Monday, January 28.

According to the Ministry of Education, this rule applies equally to all public and private schools. At the same time, schools are conducting online classes for these students. The department said schools for students in grades 6 and above should not open before 9:30 a.m. and close before 4 p.m. due to the cold.
