Kharkhoda: Policewoman and driver at the police station died in a traffic accident

Kharkhoda: The policewoman and driver of the vehicle stationed at Kharkhoda Police Station died in a traffic accident in Noida. Seven people, including two police officers, were injured in the accident. Police team were on their way back from Chhattisgarh after recovering a girl. His car collided with the bulkhead on the Yamuna Expressway near the Salarpur underpass in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. It is said that a few days ago an underage girl from the Kharkhoda area disappeared. A missing persons report was filed with the police. The police investigation revealed that two teenagers had lured the girl away. Police found the girl’s whereabouts in Chhattisgarh.

ASI Vedpal, Veerpal, Police Chief Babita and the girl’s family from Kharkhoda Police Station had gone to Chhattisgarh in a car to rescue the girl. There the police made a raid and freed the underage girl from the clutches of the youth. After that, the police team returned with the girl and her family members. When the police team reached the Yamuna Express Highway around 5:30 am Thursday, the vehicle lost its balance, resulting in the accident. Pradeep, a resident of Gopalpur, was driving the vehicle. Police chief Babita and driver Pradeep, who were stationed with Kharkhoda police, died instantly in the accident. ASI Vedpal sustained a serious head injury in the accident and is in critical condition. ASI Birpal is said to be injured. The girl’s uncle, father and two teenagers were also injured in the car. Station manager Sunil Kumar says they are currently on site and busy treating any injured.
