Kharkhoda: Boy killed, girl injured in tractor collision

Kharkhoda: The 9-year-old son of a laborer working at a brick kiln in Halalpur village, below the police station, was hit by a tractor. The girl playing with him, who is being treated in the hospital, was injured. Following a complaint from the father of the deceased priest, the police instituted proceedings against tractor driver Prem Shankar, arranged for the child’s autopsy and handed over the body to the relatives.

Mahendra, a resident of Durgapur Nalanda Bihar, is currently working with his family as a laborer at a brick kiln in Halalpur village. He has two girls and two boys. Mahendra says his nine-year-old son Pujari returned to the slum in the afternoon after playing with Suman, the daughter of a worker who lives by the kiln. Meanwhile, Premshankar, who was driving a tractor at the kiln himself, came up with his tractor at high speed and carelessly, hitting both children. The collision got her son under the tractor and Suman fell onto his side. After that, he ran to take care of the two children and found that his son died on the spot and Suman was injured. The injured was taken to the hospital for treatment. After the police received the information, they were there. Following Mahendra’s complaint, the police opened a case against tractor driver Premshankar. After the autopsy, the body was handed over to the relatives.
