Kaithal: A girl hanged herself after getting injured by creating an Instagram ID in her name and posting her photo. Following the complaint of the deceased’s family, the police named a young man, registered a case of forcing him to commit suicide and initiated an investigation.
Roshni, a resident of Shivnagar, lodged a complaint with the Civil Lines police station alleging that she was working in the house of a person residing in Sector 19 for the last five years. On September 8, she sent her 18-year-old daughter Payal to work for health reasons. Around 10 a.m., Lalit said over the phone that his daughter locked the kitchen doors on both sides of the house from inside and ended her life by hanging herself from the fan with her chunni. His daughter Payal was very upset since the previous day. He told him that Rajesh from his colony had created an ID in his name on Instagram in his phone and posted from there. It is Rajesh who forced the girl to commit suicide by creating an Instagram ID in her name. The girl ended her life for fear of defamation. Investigating officer of the case, Vijay Kumar, said that the police have registered a case against the accused and have initiated an investigation.
