Kaithal: On the pretext of sending the young man and his acquaintances to England, five accused cheated him of Rs 20 lakh 64,000. The victims complained about this to the Civil Line Kaithal police. Based on the victims’ complaint, the police named two people and registered a case. The victims said that after taking the money, the defendant gave them fake documents to travel abroad. When the investigation revealed that the papers were forged and he demanded the money back from the defendant, he was threatened with death. The police are investigating the matter.
Manoj Kumar, a resident of Ramgarh Pandawa village, said that he has known Vogueware Academy director Hasneet and Akshay, a resident of Kurad village, for a long time. Both the above-mentioned defendants have entered into partnership and opened offices in different cities in the name of Vogueware Academy. Accused Akshay told him that he was working on sending people abroad and that he would send him, his niece and other relatives abroad. He listened to the accused’s words and spoke to the accused at Suncity Kaithal to send his niece Sunaina, his friend’s nephew Shubham, his friend’s nephew Karmajeet and his friend’s maternal aunt Gurpreet’s daughter to England. The accused agreed to send each person out for Rs 19 lakh.
The accused took away all the documents and Rs 20 lakh 64,000 from him at different points of time. He assured that he would send everyone abroad to complete PTE within a month or two. The accused made him undergo fake PTE for all the children. Upon investigation, it was found that the PTE and offer letter they received were false and forged. When he wanted to talk to the defendant about it, the defendants threatened to kill him and blacklist their numbers. By doing so, the accused cheated him of Rs 20 lakh 64,000. Two to three other suspects also supported the defendant in the fraud. Investigating officer Anil Kumar said the police have registered a case against the accused and have initiated an investigation.
