Jind: Last night in Amrehari village, a young man committed suicide by hanging himself under suspicious circumstances. The young man had a love marriage about six months ago. The relatives described the deceased as mentally disturbed. Sadar police station conducted a post-mortem on the body and handed it over to the family members.
Gaurav, a resident of Amrehadi village, hanged himself in his room last night due to suspicious circumstances. When Gaurav was thrown from the gallows he had already died. After receiving information about the incident, Sadar police station reached the spot and took stock of the situation. Mangat Ram, the deceased’s father, recounted that Gaurav used to work in a grocery store on Kaithal Road. He had a love marriage to a girl about six months ago. Due to the young age of both, their marriage could not be registered. Both lived on the outskirts of the village and rented a house. The deceased’s wife said that Gaurav came home from the shop late in the evening and then went to his room. Not coming out for a long time, he went into the room and saw that Gaurav was hanging. The late Mangatram’s father said that Gaurav was mentally disturbed. Due to the same problem, he hanged himself. The Sadar police station handed over the body of the deceased to the relatives after the autopsy. Sanjay, in-charge of Sadar police station, said that the family members of the deceased had described the young man as mentally disturbed. No allegations were made against anyone. The matter is currently under investigation.
