Two youths accused of shooting and killing a youth from Bhambeva village in Jind were arrested by Jind police late Thursday night after an encounter near Bir Bada Van in Jind. Among them, a villain was shot in the leg and taken to the civilian hospital. Police recovered two pistols and half a dozen cartridges belonging to the villains.
Police had received information that a youth had been shot dead in Bhambewa village on Wednesday. Pillukheda Police Station registered one case and began searching for the attackers. The police involved in the search for the attackers received information that two attackers, Sahil from Nizampur village in Sonepat district and Ashish from Ludana village in Jind, are near Bir Bada forest on Old Hansi Road in Jind. According to this information, the Jind police team reached the place. When the police surrounded the perpetrators, they opened fire on the police. In response, the police opened fire on the perpetrators, and a malefactor named Sahil from Nizampur Village was injured by the police gunfire. He was shot in the leg. Police overpowered both Sahil and his accomplice Ashish from Ludana village after an encounter. Sadar Police Station has registered a case against the two arrested thugs under various paragraphs including the Arms Act for homicidal assault.
