Jind: Took Rs 17.67 lakh from a young man on the pretext of making him a sub-inspector of police. When the youth demanded the money back from the accused after he was not selected, the accused refused to return the amount. Pillukheda police station, on the victim’s request, registered a case against the accused and initiated an investigation.

Satbir, a resident of Hadwa village, said that he came in contact with Ravindra, a resident of Taitana village, in 2022. Who said that he has good acquaintance with great people? Under this influence, he spoke of getting his son appointed as a sub-inspector in the police. In return, Ravindra demanded Rs 35 lakh. Till December 30, 2022, his son gave Ravindra cash worth Rs 4.65 lakh and a check worth Rs 13 lakh. Still, his son couldn’t get a job. When he demanded the refund of the amount, the accused refused to refund the amount. Satbir claimed that there was a whole gang that was cheating people in the name of jobs, the leader of which was Ravindra. Acting on Satbir’s complaint, Pillukheda police station registered a case against Ravindra on various counts including cheating and initiated an investigation. Pillukheda police station investigating officer Anup Kumar said a case has been registered based on the complaint. The matter is currently under investigation.
