Jind: The CM Flying and Food and Security Department team raided the candy store near Gohana Road Jail. Dead flies were found in moldy burfi and rasgulla semolina during the raid. The team then destroyed both candies. Due to the lack of cleanliness in the basement, the shopkeeper was notified by the department. The team sent samples of three candies to the lab. Further measures will be implemented after receipt of the report.

CM Flying had received information that substandard sweets were being made at the New Salasar Mishthan Bhandar near Gohana Road Jail. Based on the information, a team was formed led by CM Flying’s Sub-Inspector Bijendra. In which district Food Safety Officer Dr. Jogendra also joined the team. When the team knocked, candy was being prepared in the basement and a dirt alert was on. There was mold in the semolina bar. The flies in Rasgullas’ tub were dead. The team then destroyed Barfi and Rasgullas with a warning. The Department of Food and Safety issued a notice of lack of cleanliness to Amin, a resident of Vishwakarma colony and director of the confectionery. The team filled samples of Mawa Barfi, Bundi and Rasgulla from the store and sent them to the lab. After receiving the report, further actions will be implemented by the food and safety department.

Ravindra Kumar, CM Flying’s DSP, said the store had been searched. The shopkeeper was notified for lack of cleanliness. Samples of three sweets are filled. The upcoming measure will be implemented by the Food and Safety Department.
