The works on the intensive care unit, which is being built in the old building of the civil hospital in the Jind District Headquarters, are almost complete and the people of Jind are waiting for this facility to open soon, but it is not possible.

The Office of the Principal Medical Officer (PMO) wrote three times to the Chief Engineer of the Department of Public Works, Construction and Roads Department regarding the completion of the construction work of the ICU, but in the absence of a satisfactory response and action, the ICU was unable to be started. It used to be like that. Now the PMO office has again written a letter to the chief engineer asking him to complete the construction work for the intensive care unit.

The intensive care unit will have 18 beds, 10 of which will be for heavy patients

The intensive care unit is ready in the old civil hospital building in the district headquarters. Although work to build the ICU has been underway for a year and a half, there are constant delays in construction, sometimes due to machinery and sometimes due to administrative arrangements. The Health Department provided 16 lakh 53,000 rupees to the PWD B&R department. Machines and other equipment were installed in the intensive care unit. Beds were set up in it and fans were installed on them. There is also some work left to do with the electrical installation. There are 18 beds in this intensive care unit. It will provide ten beds for critically ill patients and four after the patient is removed from the ventilator. In addition, four beds are also available for children.

Letter written to complete the construction of the intensive care unit

The PMO office has written a letter to the chief engineer of the Public Works Department, Construction and Roads Department to complete the construction work for the intensive care unit at the civil hospital. It states that letters were written on October 13, 2022, February 16, 2023 and April 5, 2023 to complete the construction work for the intensive care unit. The letter called for construction work on the ICU to be completed, but there was no satisfactory response and no action was taken. For this reason, the construction work on the intensive care unit has not yet been completed. Therefore, the construction work on the intensive care unit should be completed by writing a letter again so that they can be started.

By writing a letter, he was asked to complete the construction work for the intensive care unit

The Deputy MS of the Civil Hospital, Dr. Rajesh Bhola said the equipment was installed in the intensive care unit. Whenever there was a process related to Corona, the intensive care unit was also involved. The chief engineer of the Public Works Department and the Construction and Roads Department was asked to complete the construction work for the intensive care unit. However, no satisfactory action has been taken. For this reason, the intensive care unit in the civil hospital will not be set up. Once again a letter was written asking that the intensive care unit be opened soon.
