A youth shot himself in the air in front of a farmer who was doing irrigation work at Kegaon Poli farm in Jind district last night. The accused fled after committing the offence. Following the farmer’s complaint, the Julana Police Station has launched a case against the accused under various sections, including the Weapons Act, for terror proliferation.
Sewa Singh, a resident of Poli village, said in his complaint to the police that he wanted to irrigate the field last night. After midnight, Abhimanyu from the village reached the field and fired his gun in the air. The accused then fled. Following Sewa Singh’s complaint, the Julana Police Station has opened a case against Abhimanyu under various sections, including the Arms Act, for terror proliferation.
Samarjeet, head of Julana Police Station, said the farmer had filed a complaint with allegations, based on which a case was registered. The matter is currently under investigation.
