The deceased’s uncle Satpal claimed that his nephew used to be in and out of Dera Baba Chandi. Even during the previous sadhu he came and went to the camp and now he had come to the camp for four to five days. On April 28, an altercation broke out with his nephew over a problem in Sadhu’s Alley. Which he didn’t even tell the police about. After that, at 9:40 a.m., he was roaming the street, then by the light of a lighted bulb in the camp, he saw that the monk killed his nephew, he had a knife in his hand. As he screamed and ran towards the monk, monk Pradeep ran away from the spot after stabbing his nephew several times. When he heard his voice, three or four local boys came with whom he took his bloodied nephew to the Pundri Government Hospital, where the doctor pronounced him dead. His nephew had already died from a deep knife wound.
Relatives raised the possibility of murder under conspiracy
The mother of the deceased Savitri, relative Sunny and other family members expressed their anger and doubted that Rakesh could not have been killed alone by a drunk monk, other people could also be implicated in this conspiracy. They will not cremate the deceased until the whole matter is settled. Because of this, the breath of the police administration swelled. After that, the station manager in charge, Mahendra Singh Chowki, Tarsem, arrived at the site and explained to the family members and assured them that they would conduct a fair investigation into the matter. No culprit is spared. Then the relatives cremated the deceased and the police breathed a sigh of relief.
Rakesh, who died in the family, was the sole breadwinner
Rakesh was the middle of three siblings in the family, he has one younger sister who is married. Rakesh was unmarried and used to work as a laborer to support the family. The older brother is in prison in some cases. The mother also worked as a laborer to support the family’s work, but most of the family responsibilities fell to Rakesh. Mahendra Singh, chief of Pundri Police Station, said that the moment police received the information, they were there immediately. Based on the testimony of the deceased’s uncle, Satpal, a murder case against the monk was registered and investigations were launched. The police are investigating the matter from all sides.
