Hisar:The election for the posts of Chair and Vice-Chair of Zilla Parishad took place on Friday at the Council Office. There was a competition between the BJP and the JJP-backed corporations for the chairmanship, in which the BJP’s candidate for the post of chairman, Sonu Sihag, defeated the JJP’s Sunil Mund by 16 votes. On the other hand, BJP-backed councilwoman Reena Badhawad defeated JJP-backed Mohit Malik by 2 votes and 16 votes for the Vice Chairperson post.
Earlier, Minister of State Anup Dhanak, JJP District President Ramesh Godara and Chairman Rajendra Litani arrived in a bus with the councilors. JJP leaders claimed the support of 17 council members and said the chairman will be ours. After some time, Deputy Speaker Ranbir Gangwa, MLA Vinod Bhyana, BJP District President Capt. Bhupendra and Vice President Ajay Sindhu on a bus with BJP-backed councilors.
Say that on December 22nd the first meeting for the election of the posts of chairman and vice-chairman of Zilla Parishad was held. Not a single councilor was chosen. In such a situation, ADC Neeraj canceled the meeting in the event of a quorum failure. There are a total of 30 councilors in the Zilla Parishad.
