Hisar: Bribes were offered to army officers to include the hospital in the troop deployment

Hisar: Instead of including his hospital in the occupation, the director of the ECHS regional center at Hisar military station was offered a Rs 100,000 bribe. It is claimed that this offer was made by Mukesh Rathi, the director of Rathi Eye Hospital in Jhajjar, and Vikram Sharma, the manager. He wants his hospital included in the empanelment. Following the army officer’s complaint, the police filed a case against both of them and opened an investigation.

The director of the centre, HS Dhillon, has lodged a complaint with Sadar police against those who offered bribes. Following investigations into this matter, which came to light in December 2022, a case of corruption has now been registered. Colonel HS Dhillon, director of the ECHS regional center at Hisar military station, said that Naib Subedar SK Banerjee informed him on December 9 that Vikram Sharma, the center director of Rathi Eye Hospital in Jhajjar, wanted to meet him. He had submitted the documents to join the Mandate. Vikram Sharma came to him.

Col. Dhillon informed him that your documents have been sent to the center organization ECHS. Then he offered a white envelope. According to him, while handing over the envelope, Vikram Sharma said that this envelope was sent for him by the hospital director, Mukesh Rathi. When he learned it contained bribes, he refused. Immediately afterwards, the Military Police Helpdesk was informed. The accused confessed to the military police. Inside the envelope was 100,000 rupees. The accused, Vikram Sharma, was produced before the police and subsequently released on bail.

Police took one lakh of rupees from the suspect’s possessions, which was deposited at the Malkhana. Army officers also gave the police a CD showing Army Jawans and Vikram Sharma having a conversation. In it, Vikram shows the money withdrawn at the behest of the army major, and this money is said to have been given by Director Mukesh Rathi to bring the hospital on board. In the second part he writes something on the advice of a member of the army. The Hisar police obtained the legal opinion of the DDA. After investigation, Sadar Police registered a case against Vikram Sharma and Mukesh Rathi.
