Haryana: Recruitment of doctors will begin again in the state, teachers and departments will hire experts in medical colleges.

Haryana: Preparations are underway to restart the recruitment process to overcome the shortage of doctors in the state. While specialists are being placed in newly opened medical colleges in this order, the shortage of specialists is also being started in hospitals. Sources say that in this regard, Haryana Health and Home Minister Anil Vij has asked to expedite the process after brainstorming with ACS, DGHS of the state health department.

The selection committee begins the recruitment process

The recruitment process will begin soon to overcome the shortage of specialist doctors waiting to serve in the medical colleges of Haryana and also in the hospitals. The special thing is that the recruitment of doctors will not be carried out by the Haryana Public Service Commission like last time, but by an externally constituted selection committee. This approach is adopted to avoid the long process and delay in selection.

The process had continued in recent years

It is noteworthy that the process of recruitment of doctors was already carried out in a manner that did not fall under the jurisdiction of the Haryana Public Service Commission in previous years. The recruitment process for doctors began last year. The recruitment of more than 600 doctors was prepared. The interviews were conducted by a duly constituted committee. About two years ago, in the month of February, a campaign to recruit 662 doctors was launched. Thousands of doctors applied for these positions. For this purpose, the government formed committees for surveys. Let us tell you here that two years ago, the Health Ministry had invited MO (medical officers) to fill 662 posts. Around 3,400 doctors submitted their applications and expressed their desire to work in the state.

Serious efforts to address the shortage of doctors

Health Minister Anil Vij said he has been trying to overcome the shortage of doctors in the state for a long time. The government has achieved great success in this regard, but due to retirement, use of some VRS and job abandonment, the positions are becoming vacant again. We are taking measures to correct the defect. They are committed to addressing this shortage in the coming period and providing the best healthcare to the people of the state.
