Gurugram: A robbery occurred after a security guard was attacked due to road rage at Rajendra Park police station. In the incident, more than half a dozen people in the car attacked the security guard, stole cash and gold chains and fled towards Delhi. The security guard who was injured in the attack was taken to hospital by his family members. The police took up the case and initiated an investigation.
Deepak Tyagi, a resident of Rajendra Park, said he works as a security guard in Sector 107’s Sulera Society. On the morning of September 14th, he set off for work on his bicycle. As he reached near the liquor outlet in Dharampur, a car hit his bike from behind, causing him to fall. When he checked, he found that the car was being driven by Ankush, a resident of Dharampur village. As soon as the car stopped, half a dozen young men got out, holding iron bars and swords in their hands. They all attacked him. Among them he recognized Sandeep alias Johnny, Kuldeep, Jatin, Nikhil. When the accused saw the brawl taking place, people started gathering and fled from the spot. They snatched 12,000 rupees cash and a gold chain from his neck and fled. He shared this with his family members. The family members reached the scene of the accident and took him to the hospital, from where the police were informed. The police took up the case and initiated an investigation.
