Gurugram: A young man who was dropping his sister on a bike in Manesar police station area died after he was hit by a speeding truck. His sister, however, was seriously injured in the accident. After committing the crime, the accused driver fled and abandoned the truck at the spot. The police took up the case and initiated an investigation.
In the complaint lodged with the police, Sanjay, a resident of Shikohpur village, said that his brother Rajesh was riding a bike to drop his sister Sunita in Chandla Dungarwas village on Friday. At around 5.30 pm, a speeding truck driver from Gurugram hit the bike from behind in front of Kalavati Hospital on the Delhi-Jaipur highway. As soon as the collision occurred, Sunita fell away while Rajesh came under the truck. He was taken to hospital in critical condition where he was pronounced dead. After the incident, the accused driver fled the scene and abandoned the truck. The investigating officer said a case has been registered and the truck has been impounded. The accused will soon be arrested.
