Fatehabad: Police led by ASP Srishti Gupta raided a cafe in the city’s Rajguru Market on Friday. Two teenagers and two girls, who are said to be 18 years old, were checked on site. The police briefly arrested the café operator and later released the girls with a warning, taking into account their age. At the same time, orders were given to remove from the site the various booths and benches set up in the café.

ASP Srishti Gupta warned the city’s hotel and cafe operators that unethical acts will not be tolerated at any cost. He had received information that illegal business was going on in two or three cafes in the Rajguru market. Because of this, ASP itself took sudden action on Friday afternoon at the Friends Zone Cafe in Rajguru Market. Where two girls and two youths sat in separate cubicles upstairs in the cafe and were held for questioning. People gathered to see this police action. Together with the police, both the youths and the girls were taken to the police station, where they were interrogated. However, the ASP released both girls after warning them about the future.

Disturbed by police action

Following ASP Srishti Gupta’s surprise action against some cafes on Friday, there was a stir among operators of hotels, pizza joints and cafes doing unethical business. Some of these people closed their cafes and disappeared. Police received complaints about unethical activities in some hotels and cafes in the city, based on which the police took action against the secretly identified cafes on Friday under the leadership of ASP Shrishti Gupta.
