A state event is organized in Karnal on the occasion of International Women’s Day

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, at the state event organized in Karnal, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal highlighted the remarkable achievements in various fields such as Education, Culture, Army, Song, Arts, Medicine, Social Welfare, Awakening, Empowerment, Sports, Mountaineering, Air travel, etc. Women who have played an important role in the progress of society and the state through their work have been honored by being presented with various awards. Also present on the occasion were Minister for Development and Panchayat Devendra Singh Babli, Minister of State for Women and Children’s Development Kamlesh Dhanda.

On the occasion, the Prime Minister honored the Deputy Commissioners of Fatehabad, Ambala and Jind districts with Rs. 5,000, Rs. 3,000 and Rs. 2,000 respectively as first, second and third prizes for the improvement of gender ratio. Apart from that, the Deputy Commissioners of Faridabad, Narnaul and Ambala districts were honored with the first, second and third prizes of Rs 2 lakh, Rs 1 lakh and Rs 50,000 respectively for improving nutrition levels.

The Chief Minister honored Manju Sharma with Sushma Swaraj Award, Indira Gandhi Mahila Shakti Puraskar to Kumari Ritu Lather and Monika Sharma, Kalpana Chawla Shaurya Puraskar to Vandana, Lifetime Achievers Award to Chandraprabha Madan. Also, ANM/Nurse/Female MP W Award Miss Manisha, District Jind and Shiksha Devi, District Kaithal, Female Sportsperson Award Miss Seema Punia, District Sonipat, Miss Shilpa Rani, District Jind, Miss Manpreet, District Ambala City, Miss Sharmila, District Rewari, Santosh, District Bhiwani, Miss Poonam, Hisar District, Kumari Suchika Tarial, Rohtak District, Kumari Meenakshi, Jhajjar District, Kumari Aishwarya, Bhiwani District, Prem Somra, Panchkula District and Savita Malik, Kaithal District were also honored with awards by the Prime Minister .
