Faridabad: Police chief was arrested red-handed while accepting bribe of Rs 20,000

As part of the anti-corruption campaign carried out by the Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau, the office team arrested police chief Mustaq, posted at Dabua police station in Faridabad district, red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000.

Giving information on this, Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau spokesperson said that the Anti-Corruption Bureau team had prepared a plan to nab the accused based on information and managed to catch him red-handed. Head constable Mustaq had demanded a bribe of Rs 20,000 from the complainant in return for not enforcing major sections of the FIR lodged at Dabua police station. Thereafter, the FBI team arrested the accused police chief red-handed and paid him a fine of Rs 20,000. This entire operation was carried out impartially and with complete transparency before the witnesses.

In this case, a case was filed against the accused at the Faridabad Anti-Corruption Bureau and he was arrested. The investigation will be carried out by the Anti-Corruption Bureau team by collecting all the necessary evidence.
