Divya Pahuja murder case: Ravi Banga, who is accused of murdering former model Divya Pahuja, was arrested by the Gurugram Police in Jaipur on Friday. Police had announced a reward of Rs 50,000 for information leading to Banga’s arrest. The accused is a resident of Gurudwara Road Model Town, Hisar. The police produced the accused before the court and remanded him in custody for three days.

ACP criminal Varun Dahiya said Banga disposed of Pahuja’s body along with another accused Balraj Gill at the behest of main accused Abhijeet Singh. Apart from Abhijeet, the police had earlier arrested six other people, Hemraj, Om Prakash, Megha, Pravesh and Balraj Gill, in the case of Pahuja’s murder in a hotel room in Gurugram on January 2. They were sent to court for three days. Police custody was ordered. The accused is interrogated in detail and Divya’s murder mystery is clarified.

Divya Pahuja shot dead in Gurugram hotel
After Gill shot Pahuja in a hotel room on January 2, she kept her body in the trunk of a BMW car and dumped it in the Bhakra canal near Munak in Sangrur, Punjab. Gill and Banga took part in the crime after receiving a tip-off from hotel owner Abhijeet Singh, who is currently in custody.
Pahuja’s body was found in a canal on January 13, 11 days after her murder. On January 2, he was taken to the City Point Hotel by five men and later shot in the head. Abhijeet claimed that he killed the woman because she repeatedly extorted money from him by blackmailing him with obscene photos, which Pahuja’s family has denied.
