Cyber crime: Cyber thugs don’t let misdeeds stop them and cheated a girl out of a thousand pounds

Rewari news: In order to tighten the noose against cyber criminals, the number of cyber fraud cases has not decreased after the recent major police action in the Mewat region. Cyber criminals tricked a girl out of around 100,000 rupees by sending a link. After registering the case, the police began tracing the accounts to which this amount was transferred.

In the complaint filed with Model Town Police Station, Sector 4 resident Sonam said she called the toll-free number from her phone for information related to the bank. Shortly after calling, she received a call. The caller posed as a bank employee and asked for account-related information. Sonam believed him and passed on the information. A message was then sent to his mobile phone via a link for 10 rupees. After a while, after he clicked on the link, the message came on his cell phone that the money was debited from his bank account. When her account was blocked, the cyber chatter transferred 99,900 rupees to other accounts by making five transactions from her account. When he contacted the bank branch after receiving the message, he found out about the cyber scam. Police launched an investigation after registering a case related to his complaint.
