The state government has received a hike of 16 per cent so far this financial year, out of which Rs 32,000,456 crore was collected as taxes.

GST collection target of Rs 36,000 crore has been set

He said the government has set a target of collecting GST of Rs 36,000 crore. I have full confidence that this will be achieved in a timely manner. The deputy CM said that the state government received excise duty of Rs 6,361 crore in the year 2019-2020. Last year, Rs 9,687 crore in taxes were collected till July 2023, the excise year. This time an excise duty of Rs 9232 crore has been levied till January 28, 2024. He said the target for this excise year is Rs 10,500 crore. Chautala said he is confident that the state government will receive Rs 11,500 crore more in taxes than planned by the end of the excise year.
