In view of the increasing number of corona cases, the state government has issued a warning and made it compulsory to wear masks in public spaces. Meanwhile, there has been no stock of Covishield and Covaxin in Fatehabad since last week. The health department has definitely increased the number of tests here, but samples are also sent from here to Agroha for testing. It is good that in this wave in the district not a single positive case has come to light.
After the previous corona wave was over, the number of corona tests here was negligible. The main reason for this was that there was no Covid test kit here. Now, as the sound of the new corona wave started across the country, the public health department stepped into action and with the start of the tests, vaccination orders were also issued. On March 28th, the health department at the district hospital in Fatehabad has started corona tests again and these samples have been sent to Agroha for examination, whose report will come after 3 days. The number of tests was 20 tests per day on March 28 and reached 107 by April 8. No corona-positive case was found in the district.
The supply of corona vaccines Covishield and Covaxin in the district is currently over. In such a situation, those who have been vaccinated must return disappointed. However, the health department says people are not coming for the vaccine just yet. District Disease Officer Dr. Vishnu Mittal said he sent the demand for the vaccine, today or tomorrow the vaccine will reach Fatehabad. according to dr Mittal, the health department for the corona investigation in the district has requested 5,000 test kits and a budget from the headquarters. If the budget is available, this department will increase corona sampling in the field. Let us announce that 428900 corona samples have been taken in the district so far. It found 20,258 corona cases, while 503 corona infected people died.
The health department keeps an eye on people from abroad
Instead of testing the general population, the health department is currently focusing on people who have recently traveled from abroad or have been in contact with a Covid patient. Apart from that, the department has also decided to take samples from patients showing symptoms of Covid or influenza. The number of patients suffering from cough, runny nose and fever is increasing in the district’s hospitals. Daily 150-200 patients came to Fatehabad Civil Hospital for OPD, the number of which has increased to 250-300.
There is information about the arrival of a new variant of Corona. Ordinary people should follow the rules of Corona. As a precaution, avoid going to crowded places. Put on a mask. If you have complaints about fever, cough, cold, let yourself be examined. The state government has introduced a mask requirement in more than 100 crowded places.
