Fatehabad: The demand for sweets increases rapidly during the festive season. In such a situation, cases of adulteration also increase. On Wednesday, Sub-Inspector Rajesh Kumar, head of the Chief Minister’s Flying Squad team, and Dr. Azad Singh, security officer of the food supply department, conducted a raid on the milk dairy and milk product manufacturing company. During this time, a large amount of spoiled milk cream and ghee was found there, which was destroyed after the dairy operator’s consent. The information about the Chief Minister Flying Squad team’s raid in the city spread quickly, due to which many other dairy operators locked down their respective locations and disappeared. During this period, three samples of milk, cream and ghee were taken from a dairy. Samples were sent to the laboratory for testing. Action will be taken upon receipt of the report.

Chief Minister Flying Squad Team Sub-Inspector-in-Charge Rajesh Kumar said that along with ASI Sadhuram and Food Supply Officer Azad Singh, the dairy at the residence of Rakesh Kumar in Ward No. 8 near Nehru Park was searched. 250 kg ghee, 100 kg milk cream and 300 kg milk were recovered from the dairy at the spot. Furthermore, 160 kg of dairy cream and 30 kg of ghee were found in poor condition, which were destroyed by throwing them into a dirty drain with the consent of dairy operator Rakesh Kumar. The milk, cream and ghee mentioned above were harmful to health when used. He said three separate samples of milk, ghee and milk cream were taken from the dairy and all the samples would be sent for examination. Sub-inspector Rajesh Kumar said that cases of adulteration of dairy products were reported on a large scale during the festive season and therefore CM Flying would continue to take action against those who play with the quality.
