Narnaul: The Chief Minister’s Flying Squad team raided the old Kanina grain market on Monday afternoon after receiving information about illegal millet stocks. During the raid, the team imposed a total fine of Rs 39,200 on many traders after they found illegal stocks of millets and wheat. During the raid, which the team conducted till 8 pm, illegal stock of 300 quintals of millets was found at the warehouse of four companies, Ramjilal Ravindra Kumar. Market superintendent Ashok Kumar imposed a fine of Rs 7,500.
During CM Flying’s raid, illegal stocks of 400 quintals of millets were found at Matadin Mishrilal’s warehouse. A fine of 10,000 rupees was imposed for this. Illegal stocks of 250 quintals of millets were discovered at Ramjilal Ramkishan company. A fine of Rs 6,300 was imposed for this. In addition, 150 quintals of wheat stocks were found from Mahavir Prasad Mohanlal’s warehouse. For this, the team was fined Rs 15,400. The flight team began physical verification of the millet purchase, which continued until 8 p.m. The team included Inspector Satyendra Kumar, Assistant Sub-Inspector Sachin Kumar, Karmapal Singh, Mandi Supervisor Ashok Kumar and Inspector Leela Ram from the CID team. In the presence of the team, the owners of the four companies presented the market supervisor with a check for the amount of the fine, which included the fees of the market committee and the amount of the fine. This action by the government caused panic among traders.
