Chandigarh: Municipal Corporation Rohtak and Gaur Brahmin Vidya Pracharini allocate 15.37 acres of land from Municipal Corporation Rohtak to Gaur Brahmin Vidya Pracharini Sabha with a lease term of 33 years at a price of 2 lakh rupees per year in the presence of Prime Minister Manohar Lal Assembly agreed and documents were exchanged. Present on the occasion were Transport Minister Mool Chand Sharma, Urban Local Government Minister Dr. Kamal Gupta and ex officio secretary of Gaur Brahmin Vidya Pracharini Sabha Dr. Jaipal Sharma and other members of the Assembly present.

The delegation of Gaur Brahmin Vidya Pracharini Sabha thanked the Prime Minister for fulfilling the Sabha’s long-standing request to use the land for the expansion of the existing educational facility. The ex-officio secretary of the Sabha, Dr. Jaipal Sharma said the educational institution has been in existence for 100 years and provides education to all sections of society. A graduate program, BA college and school are currently operated by the institution. Around 3,700 students study at these institutes.

The Prime Minister said that the Pahravar land was leased to Gaur Brahmin Vidya Pracharini Sabha in 2008. But after that, Municipal Corporation Rohtak was established and this land fell under the corporation. The rent was not paid either. Meanwhile, the Haryana Urban Development Authority acquired the land, the dispute escalated and the HSVP released the land. Recently, at the Lord Parshuram Maha Kumbh organized in Karnal, it was announced that this land would again be given over to Gaur Brahmin Vidyas Pracharini Sabha. After approval of the proposal in the cabinet meeting, the registration certificate and rental documents were handed over to the assembly. The Sabha will use this land to establish an educational institution. A period of 5 years is stipulated in the rental agreement. If the institute is not established after 5 years, a further period of 5 years is granted.

We have solved the Pehrawar case, it is not right to criticize the opposition in this matter

Speaking about the opposition protests in Pehrawar landfall, Prime Minister Manohar Lal said the opposition should criticize their own time. Because that lease was made at the time. As for the lease, it was in itself a flawed document that only allowed two years for the establishment to be set up. In addition, it was also not right to purchase the land leased by the authority. They complicated the matter and it took us some time to solve it. Today this land has been duly leased to the Sabha.

In a democracy everyone has the right to express themselves. It is not moral to oppose a public program

The prime minister said he is holding public dialogues in each and every village and has received the support of the people. People are very enthusiastic about public dialogue. Although some political parties call for protest in these public dialogues, this is wrong. In a democracy everyone has the right to speak. It is not ethical to oppose a public event. The county government will take action against those who disrupt the programs. In addition, we believe that strict action will be taken against those who disrupt the programs of other political parties.
