Chandigarh. MP Deepender Hooda strongly objected to the cooking gas price hike, saying the government had caused an uproar by raising the cost of cooking gas just before Holi, one of the compatriots’ biggest festivals. Instead of alleviating inflation, the government arrogantly inflicts economic attacks on the common poor and middle classes at every step.

He said that during the UPA government when the gas bottle cost Rs 350, BJP leaders took to the streets with bottles on their heads, their photos are still available on social media. Now, even after the price of the cylinder surpassed Rs 1,100, the BJP leaders are not even able to spit where the BJP leaders are now hiding. BJP people should now protest by keeping the gas tanker upside down. He urged the government to withdraw the increased cooking gas price immediately and said if our government comes it will ensure consumers don’t have to pay more than 500 rupees for cooking gas.

MP Deepender Hooda said housewives were disappointed with the rise in cooking gas prices. By making cylinders expensive, the government spoiled their kitchen’s budget. Gas bottles are empty in every village. Women cook food on wood and dung cakes, the smoke from which not only affects their eyes, but also causes tears to come from the women’s eyes due to the smoke. The whole budget of the women’s kitchen got out of hand. Expensive gas cylinders have become unaffordable for the common man. When common people buy such an expensive gas bottle, it becomes difficult for them to buy vegetables and legumes.
