Bhiwani: According to the rules, it is completely illegal to enter into an alcohol contract near the temple of education, as it has a negative impact on the mentality of the young generation. But the liquor store near the Government Girls Senior Secondary School in Bhagat Singh Chowk, Sector 13 is breaking all of those rules.

Apart from the fact that the administration has been informed about this on several occasions, this issue has also been raised in the Complaints Resolution Committee, but the government and the administration pay no attention to it. On Friday, the head of the Bhiwani Resident Welfare Association, headed by Lifetime Achievement Award winner Ramkishan Sharma, met with Excise and Tax Commissioner Vijay Kaushik and presented the letter of demand, which suggested a solution to the above issue demanded. Excise and tax officials Shamsher Singh, Niranjan Kumar and Amarjit were also present.

Trouble about contract near school

In handing over the request letter to the commissioner, Ramkishan Sharma said that girls from distant places come to study at the State High School for Girls in Bhagat Singh Chowk, Sector 13, however due to the presence of liquor stalls near the school they do not have about a safe educational environment, which is why the female students face many problems. He said that because of the alcohol contract, there is a gathering of alcoholics throughout the day, which has a negative impact on the female students who come to study there. In addition, many parents are also afraid of sending their daughters to school for fear of alcoholics.

He said the federation had been fighting for the repeal of that alcohol contract for two years. In addition to informing the officials several times, this problem was also addressed at the meeting of the committee to resolve complaints, but has not been resolved to this day. The association has asked the Commissioner of Excise and Taxation to remove the liquor contract located in front of the school so that students who come to class do not face difficulties. At the request of the association, those responsible were instructed to move this liquor contract from here before the end of the summer holidays and before classes began.
