gurugram. The Railway Department is preparing to construct an elevated railway line from Delhi Cantt to Jaipur. Trains will travel on this railway line at a speed of 200 km/h. The modernization of Gurugram railway station is also being redesigned. Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh, in providing this information, said that the tendering process for the upgrade of Gurugram railway station was due to be completed in March, but the Ministry of Railways had prepared a plan to construct an elevated railway line from Delhi Cantt to Jaipur. As a result, instructions were given to redesign the station expansion. The modernization works of Gurugram station are also being carried out in accordance with the elevated railway track plan, the drawing of which has been submitted to the Railway Authority for approval.

The Union Minister said that according to the new plan by the Ministry of Railways, a plan to construct an elevated railway line from Delhi Cantt to Jaipur has been drawn up. High-speed trains will run on this elevated railway line at a speed of 200 to 220 kilometers per hour. The train will run on an elevated track at a height of around 15 to 18 meters above the ground. The Ministry of Railways has a plan to reduce the distance from Delhi to Jaipur, under this plan the elevated railway line has been approved. The Union Minister said that because of the elevated railway, the journey to Jaipur will be easier and people can reach Jaipur in less time. Due to the elevated tracks, there are fewer obstacles on the journey to Jaipur and the train can reach its destination on time. He said that so far, passengers have to travel 5 to 6 hours to reach Jaipur by train from Delhi, while after the construction of the elevated railway, this distance will be covered in 2 to 3 hours. Rao said the process of redesigning the drawing for the upgrade of Gurugram station will be completed by May.

He said that what is special about the modernization work will be that Gurugram station will receive two entries. Now Gurgaon residents also get access to the train station from the Rajendra Park side. It is planned that vehicles passing through the Daulatabad flyover will also be connected directly to the station. Rao said the requirement to enter from the other side of Gurugram station has been asked by daily commuters for years. As part of the new Gurugram railway station upgrade plan, a second entrance will be opened from Rajendra Park, which will also be directly connected to the Daulatabad flyover. An entrance to Rajendra Park will also be created and an attempt will be made to establish a direct connection with the streets in Rajendra Park. There will also be parking facilities for Rajendra Park passengers. By building a road to Rajendra Park, the Railway Department will do the job of connecting all the Daulatabad flyovers to it. There will also be more ticket house and reservation options at this entrance.

As part of the Gurugram railway station modernization plan, a raised platform was installed for access to the station. More facilities will be built in the food court on the first floor of the station. The second floor will have commercial space for business activities. The railway offices are on the third floor. According to the new expansion plan, the old demand of the residents of the station colony to remove the cement yard will be met. Rao said he received complaints many times from residents of the surrounding colony that they were struggling with severe breathing difficulties and cement dust in their homes due to the cement warehouse.
