Ambala: The shooting took place at the home of Makhan Singh Labana, Zilla Parishad member of Aam Aadmi Party. Two youths carrying motorcycles committed this incident. The glass of the house was shattered by the bullet. Sector 9 Police Station has opened an investigation by registering a case on the complaint filed by Arshjot Singh, son of Makkhan Singh Labana. Despite reviewing surveillance camera footage, the suspects who fired have not yet been identified.

In fact, Makkhan Singh Labana was threatened on behalf of Anmol, brother of mobster Lawrence Bishnoi, by calling him on WhatsApp a day ago. As it turned out, the accused had also demanded ransom from Makkhan Singh. But the police have not directly confirmed this. The callers had told of Labana’s murder. Thereafter, at 6:30 a.m., two thugs on bicycles opened fire at number 354 in Sector 10. According to the complainant, Arshjot Singh, he heard the popping of firecrackers that morning but was unaware at the time that his home was being shot at . No family member with him paid attention to that voice. However, when the glass of the house was found broken in the afternoon, there was a possibility that a shot had been fired.

When the surveillance camera footage was reviewed, the truth of the shooting came to light. The footage shows two masked youths riding their bikes coming off the access road. These youths later shot. Please say that Makhan Singh Labana joined Ikhadh in 2019. In July 2022 he joined the Aam Aadmi Party. In 2009 he contested the MLA election from the Ambala City Assembly on BSP ticket. He then became a member of the Zilla Parishad from No. 12 Division, and in 2016 he was nominated as a candidate for the post of Zilla Parishad Chairperson on behalf of the INLD. He then lost the election by cross-voting. Also this time Labana defeated Mandeep Rana of BJP by showing strength in Zilla Parishad elections. Labana has also received death threats during the ZIP elections. He had threatened dire consequences for contesting the Zilla Parishad elections. The Naggal Police Station then registered a case against the unknown suspect. In the investigations conducted so far, however, the police have not been able to arrest any of the accused.
