Action on CM Window’s complaints: 2 police officers suspended, police action will be taken against the third

Haryana: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal ordered suspension of two Haryana police officers and departmental action against the third officer for failing to conduct proper investigation in the Panipat brawl and gun attack case. It was also ordered that this matter should be investigated at the headquarters level and the report would be sent by February 20. CM has taken this action based on a complaint received by CM Window so that justice can be served to the victim and the officials who did not work can be punished.

Rajesh Gupta had lodged a police complaint

Chief Minister’s OSD Bhupeshwar Dayal said that a young resident of Panipat had lodged a complaint with the police that his company had received an 18-foot-wide road from Attar Rice and General Mills. On September 19, 2021 at 9 am, Attarchand Mittal and his two sons Ankur Mittal and Manish Mittal along with 40-50 men destroyed their path. In the evening he again came with 100 miscreants and opened fire on them with the intention of killing them. After the complaint was registered with the police, the matter was investigated by the then ASI Ram Niwas and Inspector Ummar Mohammad and the investigation report was closed saying it was untrue.

When a complaint was received regarding the CM window, action was taken

Bhupeshwar Dayal said that the victim’s youth had complained about the matter on CM Window Portal. In doing so, as per the Prime Minister’s instructions, the matter was ordered to be investigated at the Headquarters level. The case was again forwarded to Karnal police for investigation. The Inspector General of Police, Karnal Range, submitted a report terming the closure of this investigation report as suspicious. Now, the chief minister ordered to suspend the then ASI Ramniwas and Inspector Ummar Mohammad in the matter and take departmental action against the third officer who referred the matter to Karnal police instead of investigating it at the headquarters level. The chief minister has now directed to get the matter investigated at the headquarters level and submit the report by February 20.
