Kurukshetra News:Under the aegis of Haryana School Education Project Council, self-defense training for girls is provided in all districts of Haryana. In addition to Shastrang Indian Modern Martial Arts, students of government schools are taught 14 martial arts disciplines such as Taekwondo, Karate, Judo, Kickboxing and Kung Fu.
District Project Coordinator Santosh Sharma and Deputy Project Coordinator Rajesh Kumar Bhardwaj said a total of 23,213 girls from classes 6 to 12 from 172 government schools in the district will undergo self-defense training for one and a half hours daily. For this training, 58 trainers will visit schools in Kurukshetra district and undergo rigorous training. A school teacher will accompany these trainers at school.
The entire training will be supervised by the Deputy Project Coordinator of Samagra Shiksha Kurukshetra District Office, Rajesh Kumar Bhardwaj, who is responsible for this component in the district. This training lasts 3 months. The Haryana School Education Project Council, Panchkula, has issued a letter in this regard.
