The Meteorological Department had already predicted that there could be light rain and drizzle on Saturday and Sunday. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), several parts of the national capital received rain on Saturday. Now there is a possibility that on Sunday also, the people of Delhi may get to see strong winds with light rain.

Meteorological company Skymet Weather says that on Saturday also it rained in other parts including East, Central, South-East Delhi. Warm and dry weather is now increasing over Northwest India including Delhi. It can be said that after a few days, the people of the capital should be ready to bear the brunt of the scorching heat. The Meteorological Department said that a fresh Western Disturbance is moving in the Western Himalayas. Rain and snow are possible in the mountains. However, isolated rain and dust storm may occur over plains of Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh during next 48 hours. Thunderstorm and light drizzle cannot be ruled out in Delhi on Sunday. The company said that since the last week of April, the weather has remained favorable in most parts of North West India. The maximum temperature remained much below normal. An unusually high frequency of Western Disturbances reached the Western Himalayas in the month of April and continued in the first week of May. The cyclonic circulation over central Pakistan and parts of Punjab, Haryana and northwest Rajasthan played an important role in giving continuous rain and thundershowers over Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh.

According to the IMD, Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 35.1 degrees Celsius, which is four notches above normal. At the same time, the minimum temperature also recorded a slight increase of 21 degree Celsius, which is 4 degree less than normal. Let us tell you that the maximum temperature on Friday was 34 degree Celsius, which was 5 degree Celsius more than normal. While the minimum temperature was recorded at 19.5 degrees Celsius, which was 5 degrees Celsius below normal.
