Terrorist plot foiled before Republic Day, two henchmen of terrorist caught by Delhi Police

The conspiracy to carry out a major terrorist attack on Republic Day in the capital Delhi has again failed. Delhi Police has arrested two henchmen of Khalistani terrorist Lakhbir Singh alias Landa Harike from Punjab. Their names are Rajan Bhatti and Chinna, who are involved in drug smuggling and arms peddling. Police say that both of them were plotting a conspiracy to carry out a major terrorist incident on Republic Day.

According to media reports, Rajan Bhatti, an alleged associate of Khalistani terrorist Lakhbir Singh alias Landa Harike, is a resident of Ferozepur, while Kanwaljit alias Chinna is a resident of Ferozepur. Senior Cell of Delhi Police Manishi Chandra said that Rajan Bhatti and Chinna have been arrested. The arrest has been made as part of a campaign to break the Khalistani terrorist-gangster nexus. He told that there have been many shocking revelations in the interrogation, on which further investigation is going on.

Conspiracy to create a major terrorist incident in Delhi


According to media reports, Khalistani terrorist Lakhbir Singh had conspired to carry out a major terrorist incident in Punjab on August 15, but failed. After this, he started plotting a major terrorist incident in Delhi on 26 January. Even before this nefarious plan could materialize, Delhi Police has already arrested Lakhbir’s close henchmen Rajan Bhatti and Chinna. In such a situation, this arrest is being described as a big success for the Delhi Police.

Let us inform that earlier on January 13, 2023, such a case also came to light in Jahangirpuri, Delhi. When Delhi Police arrested two terrorists Naushad and Jagjit Singh. Police raided their hideouts (in Bhalswa Dairy) where police found hand grenades and a large quantity of weapons. They also used to work for the Khalistani group. Police interrogation also revealed that Jagjit was in touch with banned Khalistani groups. He was in constant contact with Khalistani terrorist Arshdeep Dalla, who was hiding abroad.

Special anti-terrorist operation in view of Republic Day

According to the Delhi Police, special operations are being carried out on account of Republic Day. Mock drills are being conducted at various places. Adequate security arrangements have been made. Along with all kinds of mischievous elements, the police have also kept an eye on the criminals. The national capital Delhi is already on the target of terrorists and anti-social elements, in such a situation a special alert has been kept on Republic Day. From metro stations to bus stands, everyone is being thoroughly searched.
