Manoj Tiwari targeted CM Kejriwal, said- AAP is running away from deputy mayor election despite majority

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and MP Manoj Tiwari on Tuesday targeted the Aam Aadmi Party. Manoj Tiwari said that despite having a majority in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, you are running away from the Mayor and Deputy Mayor elections. He alleged that party leaders, including AAP corporators, misbehaved with BJP leaders.

He said, “Why is the AAP party repeatedly obstructing the mayoral election. AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal should answer whether his party is afraid of elections. Union minister Meenakshi Lekhi said, “It is very sad that everyone was sitting to vote, but then there was ruckus. It is very sad, this should not happen, democratic process should be followed.”

Let us tell you that on Tuesday, the process of election of Mayor, Deputy Mayor and 6 members of Standing Committee in Municipal Corporation of Delhi started at Civic Center. First the nominated councilor took oath and then the elected councilor took oath one after the other. The MCD House was adjourned sine die following the fracas between Aam Aadmi Party and BJP corporators after the swearing-in of 10 nominated corporators and 250 elected corporators.
