The AAP government in Delhi has decided to remove Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar. For this, the government has sent a proposal to the central government. The Kejriwal government has sent a file to Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena to replace Naresh Kumar with IAS officer PK Gupta as the new chief secretary.
Who is PK Gupta
The AAP government in Delhi has sought the Centre’s nod to appoint PK Gupta as the new chief secretary of Delhi in place of Naresh Kumar. PK Gupta is a 1989 batch IAS officer. At present, PK Gupta is working as Additional Chief Secretary in the General Administration Department (GAD), Government of Delhi. Let us inform that at the end of this year, the present Chief Secretary of Delhi Naresh Kumar is going to retire.
At the same time, the Delhi government restrained its chief secretary and service secretary from passing orders in respect of all categories of Delhi government employees. For this, the approval of the Delhi Services Minister has been made mandatory. Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj directed that no order shall be passed by the Chief Secretary or Service Secretary or Service Department for any category of employees without the order of the Minister.
