Delhi Weather: Heavy rain in Delhi-NCR, drop in temperature

Due to the active Western Disturbance over the Western Himalayan region, on and off rain is forecast over Northwest India including the national capital and its adjoining areas in the next two to three days. During this, the maximum temperature in Delhi will remain around 37 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature can be recorded at 22 degree Celsius.

Flight operations affected

According to Delhi airport officials, flight operations have been affected due to inclement weather. He told that the passengers will have to contact the concerned airline for more details about their flight today. According to the Meteorological Department, there was a moderate to strong thunderstorm with very strong winds in Delhi this morning.

There was heat wave in many areas of Delhi on last Monday and Tuesday. During this, the maximum temperature in some parts had crossed 45 degree Celsius. Due to the heatwave, the demand for electricity in Delhi has increased very much on Tuesday. At this time 6,916 MW power demand was required.
