New Delhi: The Special Staff of Dwarka district arrested an arms smuggler and seized six cartridges and 12 cartridges. The name of the accused has been described as Lavkush. During interrogation, it was revealed that the recovered weapons were to be supplied to Vicky Thakkar gang.

DCP M. Harsh Vardhan said that the team of special staff, recently released from jail, was entrusted with the task of regularly monitoring the criminals operating in the district and neighboring states. The team recently received inputs about illegal arms smuggler Lavkush coming to Dwarka area. After this, a trap was laid near the CRPF school and the arms supplier was caught. Six pistols and 12 cartridges were recovered from him.

A case has been registered in this regard at Dwarka Uttar police station. On continuous questioning, he revealed that three to four months back he had come in contact with Sonu, a resident of Bhind. He is a supplier of illegal weapons. He joined her to make quick money. Now the police is conducting raids to arrest Sonu. He told that the police team formed under the leadership of Inspector Naveen Kumar, in-charge of Special Staff, nabbed Lavkush.

The accused is a resident of Single Basti located in New Population of Morena, Madhya Pradesh. According to the police, the recovered pistol was made in Bhind area of ​​Madhya Pradesh itself. Let us inform that earlier in the month of January, the outer district police had detected a gang of arms smugglers. The pistols which were made in Meerut and Bulandshahr areas of Uttar Pradesh and sold to the miscreants of Delhi. Police had also recovered seven pistols in this case.
