Delhi: Sisodia to remain in ED custody till March 22, court again extends remand for 5 days

Difficulties are increasing for former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia. ED has arrested Sisodia in money laundering case. Sisodia was arrested by the ED on March 9 from Tihar Jail. The court had sent Sisodia on ED remand from March 10 to March 17. Sisodia’s remand is ending today. For this reason, today Sisodia has been produced in Rouse Avenue Court. Meanwhile, the ED has demanded from the court to increase the remand of Manish Sisodia. Court has extended Sisodaya’s remand by 5 days. Now the ED will keep Sisodia in its remand till March 22.

ED demands extension of remand

The ED has demanded the court to extend the remand of Sisodia. ED said that Manish Sisodia is yet to be questioned further. Sisodia has already been questioned in the presence of other accused in the case Arvind, Gopikrishna and Sanjay Goyal. Some facts have also come out in this, mobile data has been retrieved. ED said that 1.23 lakh email dumps have been received from Sisodia’s cloak. Apart from this, i cloud data has also been retrieved, inquiries are yet to be made regarding all these.

On the demand of increasing the ED’s remand, Sisodia’s lawyer said that only 11 hours of questioning has taken place in these 7 days. In 7 days only 4 people have been made face to face. ED is pretending to inquire. Is sitting from here to there in a room called investigation? A day before being produced in the court, the ED pretended to be interrogated. The court heard the arguments of both the sides and extended Sisodia’s remand for 5 days.

Explain that Manish Sisodia is alleged to have allegedly earned Rs 290 crore from crime. In this case, the court had sent Sisodia to ED custody from March 10 to March 17. After this, Sisodia was presented in the court today, where the court extended the remand of Sisodia for 5 days.
