For this, Delhi Government is installing state-of-the-art Bus Route Navigation Map at Bus Queue Shelters. Under this scheme, on Wednesday, the state-of-the-art bus route navigation map was installed at the Bus Queue Shelter (BQS) located at ITO. Which was inaugurated by Delhi’s Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot.

Kailash Gahlot informed that such bus route navigation maps are being installed in partnership with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation at 2000 bus queue shelters in Delhi. The Delhi government is spending a total of Rs 27 crore on this, which will also include the maintenance of these new route maps for 3 years.

Gehlot said that commuters often get confused as to which bus will go where and the problem becomes worse when one has to change the bus midway. With these new route maps located in BQS, one can easily get a complete idea of ​​bus route numbers and destinations. Both Hindi and English have been used in these new route maps, so that one can read it easily.

Gehlot said that DMRC will implement this project in the whole of Delhi in the next 6 months. The overall project will also include complete maintenance of these new route maps for 3 years. Gehlot said the Delhi government is also working on implementing Passenger Information System (PIS) in BQS, which will be similar to the displays displayed at railway stations or airports. With the PIS, commuters will be able to get real-time information about the arrival and departure of buses at the bus queue shelter.
