Delhi Mayor Election: The House of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has been adjourned sine die. Once again the election of the Mayor of Delhi could not be held. Due to the uproar between AAP and BJP corporators, the mayoral election was not held even for the second time. At the same time, today i.e. on Tuesday, the oath of all the councilors and nominated members was completed. After this, BJP and AAP councilors again started creating ruckus, after which the house was adjourned. Even before this, the mayor’s election could not be held on January 6 due to uproar in the House.

Uproar started as soon as voting for Delhi Mayor started at MCD Headquarters Civic Centre. The House was adjourned sine die due to the uproar, so the election of the Mayor of Delhi was also postponed.

Sloganeering between BJP-AAP councilors

Slogans are being raised outside the House of Municipal Corporation of Delhi between BJP and Aam Aadmi Party councilors. The Aam Aadmi Party alleges that the House was adjourned without any reason. AAP alleged that BJP is constantly trying to postpone the mayoral election. He said that BJP is delaying the mayoral election knowingly.

Mayor election was not held for the second time as well

The House of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi has been adjourned sine die. In such a situation, once again the mayoral election is stuck. The House has been adjourned following continuous uproar by BJP corporators. Let us inform that even before this, the election of the mayor could not be held on January 6 due to the uproar.

AAP councilor demanded to throw these people out of the house

First of all, the oath was administered to the newly elected councilors in the Delhi Municipal Corporation House meeting on Tuesday. Then after this all the newly elected councilors were administered oath. After the completion of everyone’s oath, the election for the post of mayor was to be held. But, before the mayoral election, Aam Aadmi Party councilor Mukesh Goyal said that those who are not eligible to vote should be made to sit outside the house. After which the proceedings of the House were adjourned for 15 minutes. After this, the councilors of AAP and BJP started creating ruckus and then the election for the post of Mayor was also postponed.
